Need to know about Bangkok

Hi friends

I am new in this forum,i want to know some things about the Bangkok.How about doing job in the Bangkok, What are the accomodation facility,rates?What is the good salary for outside of Thailand guy,so he can save a good amount of money as we as live standard life?
How Safe is the bangkok city(after reading incident happen to those two guys happened in the city i am worry about the outsiders ).

Can't help with job info...but can tell you about transportation...There is the skytrain BTS and there is the subway MRT...Both are the best ways to travel around Bangkok to avoid traffic..so try to find a place either a motorcycle taxi ride to the stations or walking distance.

There are basically 2 types of apartments for rent...one with kitchen so rent very high because of fire insurance and one without kitchen (studio style) rent is under 5000 a month...in the studio type, most renters set up a kitchen on their balcony.
