koh tao, thailand shopping query

g'day

I will soon be traveling to koh tao to do some diving for a few months and will be taking a small netbook with me as space is at a premium in my very small bag. It doesnt have a dvd player/reader thing so I will need to buy an external reader to view dvd's required for the course I am undertaking.

Does anyone know if these sort of devices are available to purchase on koh tao? Or will I need to get one before arriving on the island?

Hi there !

The dive centres will have facilities for you to view the videos required within the centre.

But there are places where you can buy a personal DVD player or an external one for your laptop if you want one.

Just watch it in the divecenter together with the other students. More fun as well than watching alone.

i had planned to watch the dvds in the dive centre, but will also want to view them again by myself i am sure, so will need some sort of player
