Mouth ulcer pain, help?
« on: March 05, 2012, 06:15:43 PM »
I have a mouth ulcer caused by my dental brace. My brace has been broken a bit anyway (this did not cause the ulcer) so I'm calling them tomorrow to get it fixed, which means I won't be seeing them till probably next week, so I can't get some of that wax stuff they give you any time soon. Bonjela DOES NOT WORK. I live in the UK so please don't suggest anything that you get in America. Like home remedies? Remember, the brace is going to constantly rub against the ulcer :(

Try gargling with a mixture of salt and vinegar in hot water. Swill it around your mouth for about 30 seconds and spit it out. It will kill any bacteria that hides between the teeth.

Good Luck!

Well if the brace is creating something like a sore i would gargle your mouth with salt and water for a few days and it'll start going away. I had something like that a few weeks ago and i kept using hot salt and water and it was cured .hope it helps
