Inlays/onlays are sometimes good alternatives to composite fillings, offering excellent long term durability. In cases of extensive decay, inlays/onlays or crowns are the only alternative.

There is two types of material for inlays and onlays, the first is composite inlays and onlays and the second is porcelain, I prefer porcelain inlays and onlays since it is more durable and it looks better than composite
